HAT TO FIND IN LINGUASPORT

Why is this site different from many others? Because here you can find a kind of information accurate not only from the statistical point of view, but also historically comprehensive and linguistically standardized. What I mean by the latter is that the same player or team will always have the same spelling in all the different competitions where they appear, i.e. the official name of teams and the real "nickname" of players (not just his family name), always taking into account the original language spelling (not just an English translation). In this respect, this website is the only multilanguage database covering sport history and statistics.

Following is a brief description of the statistical information that I include in the different competitions (although in some cases it's missing–which is marked in red–because I just couldn't find it anywhere or it might be updated later):

WORLD LANGUAGES (IN PROGRESS)

Genetic-typological classification of the over 7,000 languages spoken in the world (both present and extinct), with information about their history, writing system, pronunciation, grammar and sample text. This description of the world languages is intended to support and justify the linguistic criterion used in the sport files of this website (especially in regard to the transcription of non-Latin alphabets).
