The Spanish Super Cup is a competition created in 1982 in which the League winner from the previous season faces the Cup champion (or runner-up, when the same team doubles in the two tournaments) in a two-legged final. Being a traditionally pre-season competition, Super Cup couldn't be played in some years because the two finalists didn't agree on the dates. From season 2019-20 on, the Spanish Super Cup switched to a new Final Four format, with both the finalists of the previous edition of the Spanish Cup and the two top qualified teams in the Spanish League playing semifinals and final at a single venue in Saudi Arabia.

From 1985 on, when I started collecting my first statistics on paper, then with an Olivetti typewriter and finally using WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS in an IBM computer (sweet old days...), scores and statistics are registered "on real time."
